    Classroom to PSL: Tel One FC launches Mambo High School Academy to bridge gap between school and pro- football

    GWERU โ€“ As part of its 10th-anniversary celebrations, TelOne FC has officially launched the Mambo High School Football Academy in Gweru on Friday, a grassroots initiative designed to connect school football with the professional game.

    The academy allows student-athletes to pursue formal education while undergoing structured, high-performance training, creating a seamless pathway from the classroom to the senior squad.

    Speaking at the launch, TelOne FC officials described the project as a core Corporate Social Responsibility initiative aimed at empowering youth through sport.

    “The academy will function as a direct feeder system, transitioning young local talent into the senior TelOne FC team.

    Under the arrangement, TelOne FC will deploy qualified trainers to implement professional methodologies and the clubโ€™s signature โ€œWiFi Boysโ€ philosophy,” said an official.

    Academy teams will compete in regional junior leagues and the prestigious NASH national tournament, gaining valuable competitive exposure.

    The club said it will also fully equip the academy with official kits and modern training gear.

    By combining academics with elite sports mentoring, the academy aims to set a new standard for youth development in the Midlands province and across Zimbabwe.

    Gweru :TelOne FC and Fidelity Life Medical Aid Society (FLIMAS) have announce a sponsorship partnership for the remainder of the 2026 football season, under which FLIMAS has provided official soccer kits for the Club.
    The partnership comes at a pivotal stage of the season, as the campaign approaches its midway point, and reflects a shared commitment to excellence, teamwork, and community development. The sponsorship will enhance the Clubโ€™s identity on and off the field while providing vital support to the players as they continue competing in the second half of the 2026 season.
